With all of the love of a mother, Catherine Bird shares with us a beautiful Bible study perfect for moms and their tween girls. With three tween girls of my own, I am always looking for news and engaging ways to explore Scripture together. Catherine does just that.

Each of the eight chapters start with a personal story which quickly connects to Scripture. She goes on to dive deeper into the Bible. The “Heart Check” questions are perfect and appropriate for an 8 year old and a 12 year old. Nothing is watered down or too simplified for older girls.

I love that encluded with each chapter are activities for moms and daughters. These creative ideas range from arts & crafts to home pedicures to community service. There is something for everyone and each idea provides intentional time to connect with your daugther.

The book also includes and eight-week Bible study facilitator’s guide. Fun activities and games are included to help make a group Bible study extra fun. I can’t wait to use this with the tween girls from my church this year.

Becoming a Girl of Grace is an engaging, age-appropriate, creative Bible study that aims to bring mothers and daughters together all while studying the Bible.
